The integers wound into a square spiral, where the primes refuse to scatter and fall onto diagonals instead — the quadratics that are prime unreasonably often, discovered on a doodle during a dull lecture and still unexplained; the beat walks the spiral outward and a drop rebases it on a new starting number.
